Starter Pokémon?

Although Growlie appeared first, Carnivine was also caught when James was a child. Is it correct to say that Carnivine is his starter? Or did James bring Growlie to Sinnoh and capture Carnivine fairly? I'm just wondering. WATERWARRIOR67 (talk) 20:29, 31 August 2014 (UTC)

We don't consider neither Growlie or Carnivine starter Pokémon because we don't know which one James received first. For all we know, his first Victreebel could be his starter. Here or on the forums? I've gone to the site and suggested episode ideas. I also posted a thread, but I still don't know what's happening! Plus, Blazingfist told me that I should think before I should add to the trivia by going to the discussion pages; I've been doing that and have only gotten a few replies. I don't know if some of the other pages I've been to on their discussions have been looked at since I last typed there. In addition, if neither of them are considered to be starter Pokémon, then why is it that when I click the link for anime starter Pokémon, Growlie is listed?
