Not crap, do it

If you mean to change the structure to something like this, then yes: this looks better. It makes more sense to have the game data at the top, I think. ~Takhareon 06:06, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Gawd I love it...8D. --Psyライダー 01:24, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

APPROVAL. My brain's kinda dead right now so I'm not sure what to improve on, but I do know that I really like the slightly more in-depth of its inclusion in main games (that's lacking on the current one, I've always wondered why...) and the movelist being higher up! One of the main reasons why I don't use BP as my main dex is because I have to pagedown through a bunch of crap I don't care about. Sure there's the table of contents or Ctrl+F, but I think that's the majority of people's automatic reaction for scrolling to stuff. ▫▪Ťïňắ 01:36, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Nice. CuboneKing 01:40, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

So you're dropping the sprite box? - unsigned comment from CuboneKing (talkcontribs)
Nope, the sprite box still can be found in the article it is under In the Main Series at 2.6 in the table of contents, or it can be found here. –MasterKenobi 06:14, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Oops. I didn't see it. CuboneKing 02:43, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

I likey. One thing I've been wondering, though... could it have navbars for other Pokédexes it appears in, instead of just for National? --AndyPKMN 13:59, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

I like it, but Andy's suggestion is worth considering. --ルレ 15:05, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia does that. It'd be nice, but considering for Pokémon like Graveler, it'd be just... Geodude and Golem, FOUR TIMES OVER, I dunno why. Plus the navbars do lengthen the page. TTEchidna 17:11, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Crap, keep the old organization

Rearrangement, but then okay

I like the layout, so I am for it if we are heading in this direction. Looking between our current Typhlosion page and this one I notice a few things:

  • The national Dex number is in a bit of an odd place
  • Present may be implied for Oblivia but Present may need to be attached
  • There is really no need for listing both imperical and metric as that is what they convert to just take the one that is given through the dex first (just checked, the dex lists it in Imperial) which will maybe make space for something of more importance
  • Link Catch Rate to the Catch Rate page.
  • Some people may want formality, so maybe change Dex Color to Pokédex Color.
  • The Dex color may become hard to see if we have a Pokemon that is has the same type color and body color, so that may need to be changed in the future as a border may not be enough.
  • The Gender Ratio looks a bit odd with the Female and Male Percentage numbers taking up so much space. This may become a problem when we get to Genderless.
  • Where it says Ground group maybe we could fill that in with to correspond with the egg group color.
  • We need to redo the whole External Links area for coding in the future so I will talk to you about that later.
  • I'm not liking how much you shortened the Biology as I find that a very interesting part of information but you need to at least put the Grassland Pokémon habitat back in.
  • The In the Main series needs to be reworded as it sounds like Professor Elm just gives you a Typhlosion to start off with.
  • I think it could also be expanded that Cyndaquil is given out as a gift Pokemon in Pokémon Emerald version by Professor Birch after completing the Hoenn Dex as we are going to have to say the same with all these other starters that we get in HeartGold and SoulSilver so people aren't looking around everywhere for the answers. The more detail the better.
  • Finally! All of the Side Game information is together, I was just about to make that suggestion.
  • Performance should definitely be changed back to be titled Pokéathlon Stats as that is what they are and would make more sense titled that since they are placed under the Base Stats.
  • We need to update the Type Effectiveness chart as it looks a bit outdated compared to everything else with just bullet points. I'll get to work on that here soon.
  • The Trading Card Game only move (Possibly under in the TCG) and Exclusive move from Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness need to be somehow reimplemented.
  • For some extra visual an image for the In the manga (possibly of Explotaro) and a small picture for In the TCG (such as TyphlosionHGSSPromo9)
  • The background on the evolution template needs to be fixed as it is showing a different colour other than fire, it is coded right though.
  • The external links header at the bottom of the page can be deleted as we will have on that is in the upper right with the Dex information.
  • Maybe in the near future we could implement some sort of a template for the use for in Foreign Languages and we could somehow add all the new foreign language Dex entries somewhere as almost every single Pokémon has English (ENG), French (FRA), German (GER), Italian (ITA), Spanish (SPA), and Japanese (JPN).

Thanks! –MasterKenobi 07:40, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

For most of them, just check out the Bulbadex page. Several questions are answered there. Dex color's not gonna conflict with any typecolors, that's certain. The evoboxes don't color properly unless on a basic X (Pokémon) page, I didn't mention the Emerald/XD location for Cyndaquil because you have to pretty much beat the game to get it, performance is the official name of the stats, TCG moves are dumb and can go away because they're terrible and unchartable. Blast Burn is obtainable by literally any Typhlosion now, no one cares about XD anymore. External links are ass anyway. Foreign dex entries are just translated versions of the English ones from prior games... on and on... and on... my god this is an essay, jeez. TTEchidna 07:53, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
The Bulbadex page does answer a few of my questions but I now have one more. For the Pokémon with Alternate Form(es) could we possibly code it so that it corresponds to the current for being shown so we don't have all this jumbled information? For example when the Origin Form(e) Giratina artwork shows on the Dex template, the information should correspond with it which would be a bit neater looking. –MasterKenobi 08:34, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
That would mean that someone looking for Altered Forme Giratina wouldn't be able to figure out its EV yield, or ability, or anything because these are different from the Origin Forme and hence wouldn't be shown. Inhibiting people from finding out information is never a good thing. —darklordtrom 11:35, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
What Trom said. TTEchidna 01:18, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
That's what I thought might be the case, it just seems a bit cluttered though but I guess we will have to live with it until we find some sort of neater way of organizing it. –MasterKenobi 06:05, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
