Jessilina

I have created a page for her, User:05308/Jessilina I figure since Ashley got a page and that every other character knows Jessilina and Jessie to be different people, this iconic alias deserves her own page, I'm unsure however which colours to use as I think Team Rocket colours are inappropriate, besides that I know no reason why it can not be mainspaced but it's your call of corse Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:14, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Thing is, she can't be compared to Ashley. Ashley is popular among fans. That's why she has an article. She's considered different from Ash. Fans see Jessilina as Jessie. --ケンジガール 00:42, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
And besides, Jessie had several Contest aliases, what about them? Ataro 00:43, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
The other aliases could be included in the Jessalina page? felinoel 03:18, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Why not a whole page for Jessie's aliases? She's got about seven or more that crop up, half of them not even properly documented, simply mentioned. One even comes to mind from when they were in Johto. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 03:25, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
I just don't find it that useful. And what makes her aliases so important over James's? He also had aliases. Maybe the can be reordered and better documented on Jessie's page but a whole article for themselves? That much detail isn't needed. All of these people are still Jessie. --ケンジガール 03:34, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
How many of James' aliases had names or even won contests? felinoel 04:24, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
I think Jessie's alias are more notable because a lot of them reccur; Jessidia, Jessilyn and esspessually Jessilina, and of corse, Jessilina is Jessilina to the rest of the world in Pokémon, Ash, Dawn, Contesta, etc all know Jessilina as a good coordinator, wehile they know Jessie as criminal member of team rocket Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 08:46, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

BW013

One of the dub edits for this episode states that during Ash's battle with Minccino, Bel told Ash's Pikachu to use Zap Cannon instead of Thunder Wave in the original version. I just rewatched the original version and she definitely told Pikachu to use Zap Cannon. That means that the dub actually got it right and this is not an error. I can understand the mistake because these two moves are similar in japanese names Zap Cannon (Japanese: でんじほう Electromagnetic Cannon, lit. Denjihō) and Thunder Wave (Japanese: でんじは Electromagnetic Wave, lit. Denjiha). It might not be that big of a deal, but I just thought that I should mention it. Gohan5 00:30, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

You should bring it up on the episodes talk page. I'm only following what the users said. --ケンジガール 02:05, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Useless page?

I noticed this today. I watched the movie to see if I could get any info but I have no idea who it is. The page is just so small, I was wondering if it was really needed anymore. I've also got some pics I'd like your approval on so maybe get on AIM at some point. <3 Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 00:46, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

I know what you want

But unfortunately I can only offer a photo. I honestly have no idea what the two new names are. Sorry, man. :( I hope you can figure something out. Here's the photo. I do have some good news though (well good for me anyway) but that can wait until later. <3 Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 13:55, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

I can read who most of them are. Except for the ones in between Eli James and Lisa Ortiz. Which are most liekely the VAs of Lenora and Hawes. Well, it's not your fault. Hopefully I can figure them out eventually (or CN can get off their lazy butts and post the episodes online again...) --ケンジガール 22:46, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for explaining it to me.

Hi, thanks for explaining that to me. I was not trying to be argumentative or "snippy". I was only wondering why Jello made that edit but then he/she lashed at me as if I wanted an argument. Well I tried to talk to him and he didn't explain to me the reason why no more trivia needs to be added. I was only asking because that is what PSY has suggested me to do if I want some questions on why my edit has been reverted by another user. Not starting fights or arguments. Ash's Staraptor's Gust

A little while ago, I noticed that there was an inconsistency between Ash's Staraptor and anime move errors, regarding the episode the move debuted in. The trivia section of DP002 says that it was Gust in the original but Whirlwind in the dub. I watched DP026 today, and Ash says Gust (in the dub at least). How should the page be formatted. On a related note, was Whirlwind ever used in the original, and how should that be formatted? Do we put the original in the box, then note the dub below, or the other way around (or something else)? --SnorlaxMonster 09:43, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

I guess put where it debuted in the original and not the dub. I don't know if it used Whirlwind in the original though. --ケンジガール 22:23, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Episodes focusing on Iris's Excadrill

I honestly have no idea why you deleted that Episodes focusing on Excadrill page. What was wrong with it? Hm? Don't Hug Lucario! 19:06, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Because unless they are walking Pokémon, they do not get a category for episode focus. I honestly don't know why you created one for Excadrill as it had very little screentime to begin with. --ケンジガール 19:15, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
And even if we did still have pages like that for the other Pokemon, he has one episode focus on him and even that is arguable, not like Bulbasaur who got a few of his own episodes Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 23:45, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Anime pictures

Ahaha, I am so tempted to add anime pictures to Maggyo, Tympole, and Foongus's pages. But I forget, is there anything against doing that before the episode airs? <:3 Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 05:54, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Don't think there is. I've done it with Dwebble. Go ahead. --ケンジガール 06:16, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

BW015

Hey, sorry for not getting this to you sooner. I had things going on yesterday. Additional voices just consisted of Lenora's VA, Hawes, Kayzie Rogers, Alyson Rosenfeld, Tom W. and Marc T.. On the plus side, I figured out who Hawes's voice actor is! It's Gary Mack. :D He's done a few voices for Yu-Gi-Oh and a few other cartoon series. I suggest looking up his role in Kappa Mikey for comparison to Hawes. I'd put it myself if it weren't for my lackluster history with VAs. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 17:46, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Certain about something

What does debatable mean as I saw on this edit? PattyMan 23:42, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

It's too hard to tell what their genders are. Especially Swalot. –ケンジガール 01:31, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

No Comparisons

Are we not allowed to add comparisons to Pokémon pages anymore? We've always had these on the pages but now a user is deleting them, saying they aren't valid. Wanted to know if I missed something. --HoennMaster 18:44, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Kenji decided yesturday, she had a big clear out of the(character)'s Pokemon pages Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 19:36, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
It was a decision made by me and the other admins. You can look at my contributions and see that I've already done numerous pages.
Of course... I would have liked to do it myself. Or at least been asked if it was okay to help out. But that edit was a-OK overall.
The reason for it is because it had turned into something where users drew their own personal comparisons. Like Woobat and Yamega. And some of them get ridiculous with the lists with bullets that take up about a quarter of the entire page. While I find some comparisons interesting, it wouldn't be fair to keep them and not others. In the end, a comparison is something that not everyone will find interesting or notable. That's why this is going down. --ケンジガール 19:41, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Comparions

Can I help you with that? :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 00:10, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Yamask from BW014

Hi Kenji. I hope you don't mind me popping here and asking, but when I don't understand something, then I ask questions. I understand why you let Will-O-Wisp go, since it was possessing Cilan when using the attack (I actually thought about putting it down, but thought against it since it was Cilan that used it), but I don't think that we should put anything down for Psychic, Rain Dance or Haze since it wasn't seen using the moves. The point of the anime templates is to show how the Pokémon use the attack in the anime, correct? this edit, you reverted a user because Magmar's Will-O-Wisp (XD, coincidence) because the attack wasn't seen. the same with this edit, Yamask wasn't seen using the attack, it just caused object to float. For all we know, it could do a hula dance in order to activate the attack. Again, don't be mad, I'm just trying to get the situation right. ^^; Littlmiget123 01:24, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

There is a part where a small blue flame chases down Hawes. That's the Will-O-Wisp we are talking about. We are just noting that Yamask used it as an attack when possessing Cilan.
That thing with Magmar is way different. We did not see the move at all. Paul told it to use it but it never intiated the attack because it was interrupted. Yamask's moves were visible but just not seen coming from it. But we know that it was using them.
In the end, it's the move that matters. The move was seen. So we can put it down. The Pokémom doesn't have to be seen all the time. Just the move. --ケンジガール 01:36, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Okay then, I think I understand it now. Can I still go in and change some things to the method? In the Psychic list, the method is how the Pokemon uses (or what it does) the attack, and not all Yamask using Psychic are going to be tormenting Hawes with objects. ^^; Littlmiget123 01:40, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
But Yamask wasn't seen using it so how would we know what it looks like? That's all we can say about the move. Unless you can say "Yamask controls objects that glow in a blue light" or something. --ケンジガール 01:48, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Lol, back where we started. XP I'll edit the pages and add what I can, then you can see how you like them. That work for you? Can you respond when I've finished adding data for Psychic, Will-O-Wisp, Rain Dance and Haze? I'll try not to disappoint. ^^ Littlmiget123 01:51, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
We couldn't just say that it's how Cilan used it could we? Like with a note about his being possessed and his overworld sprite?--MisterE13 21:48, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Cilan isn't really a Pokémon... ^^; - unsigned comment from Littlmiget123 (talkcontribs)

Yeah, it was mostly a joke but I was throwing it out there just in case.--MisterE13 22:13, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Lol, I kinda figured that. XD Littlmiget123 23:13, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Possible feature for anime articles?

Hi, I have a suggestion to make for anime Pokémon articles. If I wanted to see each image of the Pokémon's known moves, I'd have to keep refreshing lots of times and go on pot luck until I get the image I want. I don't know if this would be possible, but if it could be done where someone could hover their cursor over a smaller version of the image or the move name in order for it to appear as the main picture, I feel this would work well. Again, I don't know if it would be possible, but if anyone can do it, as head of the anime department, it would be you. Hope you find this a good idea! Torngentleman2 10:04, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

It would cause too many crashes --ケンジガール 01:31, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Genesect Artwork

A user has added Genesect's artwork, but chances are its fake (It does looks real), so should it be removed? I know the Gen IV events had fan art for a while, but is this going to happen for the Gen V events? Presonally, I think the page does look better with it. XVuvuzela2010X 11:59, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

It's not real. Here's the original. http://pokefaktory.deviantart.com/art/Genesect-200432137 Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 12:01, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
OK, but will there be fan art, like we did for the Gen IV events? Those streched, grainy sprites hurt my eyes. XVuvuzela2010X 12:04, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
I don't think we're doing the fanart thing this time. I don't think it was a good idea then looking back. --ケンジガール 12:18, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

The whole Rhonda VA thing

Sorry about that, if it's on Sarah Natochenny's resume then I guess it's pretty much confirmed - it's just when I made the edit there was so much info in favour of Rhonda Krempa being the VA.

  • a) After the switch to DuArt, in about 95% of cases - the recurring B-tier VAs during seasons 9 and 10 (like your Emily Williams, Craig Blair, Rhonda Krempa, Sonney Dey etc.) never got any new roles under the TPCi/DuArt dub and only ever made appearances as characters they'd played during early DP. I went through every episode Rhonda was in on my season 11 and 12 DVDs and Krempa was credited - the only other episodes she was credited for in seasons 11 and 12 were, naturally, ones where Kenny appeared, to the extent where a coincidence was unlikely. Sure, DuArt's crediting of VAs is incredibly dodgy at times - but Krempa was credited without fail in every single episode where Rhonda the reporter appeared, and not in any episode I checked that didn't have either of those two characters.
  • b) She sounds more like Kenny than Ash, and sounds nothing like Sarah's other female roles.
  • c) Sarah Natochenny's webiste was down when I made the change (and mostly still is today, too) so all I could do was look at other places where she had her roles listed. I didn't know that a copy of her resume was hosted on her talk page.

So yeah, the resume is probably concrete enough proof to keep it as it is, but I think the mistake lies in the resume in this case because of how rarely consistent the credits are in this case. By the way, if you need dub VA credits for any of the second half of Galactic Battles or the first half of Sinnoh League Victors, I can provide them fairly easily because those eps are all out on DVD here now. Just hit up my talk page or send me a BMGf PM if you need them. -Thingamajig257- 00:11, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

I have made the same mistake in the past. Originally when Rhonda first debuted, I put her VA down as Sarah Natochenny. I know you can't hear her voice when she talks normally. But when she yells at Jack, I can definitely hear that Ash tone. Then I saw the ending credits to DP075 and Rhonda Krempa was there. With there only being the main cast, Wallace, and Rhonda, I figured I made a mistake and it was actually her doing the voice. But then that resume came out and we changed it back to Sarah Natochenny. So yeah, don't sweat it.
As for voice actors, if you can find any from your DVDs that'd be great. I don't know of any we made need though. But you can check this category --ケンジガール 00:25, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Oh great, I should've realised there'd be a category like that on here. I'll take a look through it when I have some time. -Thingamajig257- 02:07, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
