#Yellow: (Indexed 237 to 244). I love those, they are bizarre and correspond to how the game reads irrelevant data added in Pokémon Yellow as map data.
#Yellow: (Indexed 237 to 244). Corresponding to how the game reads extra data added in Pokémon Yellow as map data.
#Red/Blue: Dunno, they all crash the game >_<. Well, if you use the town map and change the value to index number 11 (0B) it seems to correspond to some kind of 'second pallet town' north of the league.
#Red/Blue: (Index #240). Actually link room, but there is no default map data for it and it is normally defined from another source.
#Gold/Silver: Map #8703. Black room of death, yay.
#Gold/Silver: Map #8703. An interesting blank, undefined room. (21,FF)

Welcome =]. I am Torchickens, a sysop on Glitch City Laboratory Forums. I will often be most active there but I will endeavour to keep information about Pokémon glitches in Bulbapedia accurate.

Favourite Glitch Pokémon

  1. Yellow: Q
  2. Red/Blue: X ゥ- xゥ

Favourite Glitch Maps

  1. Yellow: (Indexed 237 to 244). Corresponding to how the game reads extra data added in Pokémon Yellow as map data.
  2. Red/Blue: (Index #240). Actually link room, but there is no default map data for it and it is normally defined from another source.
  3. Gold/Silver: Map #8703. An interesting blank, undefined room. (21,FF)

Favourite Glitch Trainers

  1. R/B/Y: Those trigerring the ZZAZZ Glitch

Favourite Glitch Items

  1. R/B/Y:Any which causes the 'RIVALs Effect' i.e. lets the player temporarily walk through walls.
  2. R/B/Y:TM55
  3. G/S/C:Teru-Sama
  4. G/S/C:HM13

Notable things that need extra research

  1. Glitch battle systems
  2. Glitch phone numbers
  3. Glitch title screen options
  4. Glitch ribbons
  5. Glitch abilities

Favourite beta elements

  1. An unused large blue map in R/S which seems to have been for testing.
  2. 'SPECIAL': placeholder map location (R/B/Y); 'Special Area' (R/S/E), Error handler: 'Unknown' (HG/SS) (Region outside of Kanto/Johto)
  3. References to Sweet Honey on Gold/Silver.
  4. Unused Pokémon and prototype names.
  5. Speculation: ????? item for surfing with no Pokémon.
  6. Speculation:The very fact over 30 glitch Pokémon are varients of 'MISSINGNO.', and they have index numbers in between real Pokémon implying they may have been deleted Pokémon, why don't these use glitchy names like '3trainerpoke'?
  7. Speculation:The towns i.e. Pallet to Saffron (yes Saffron appears to be the final town programmed into the game) suggest Saffron was the last town ever made. Also there seems to be an unused Town (index number 11) use code 010B5ED3 or 5DD3 when using the Town Map to see it!
  8. Cacophony ability.
