Even though he is no longer working for Pokémon Card Laboratories, his artwork is still being used. Toshinao Aoki (Japanese: 青木俊直 Aoki Toshinao) is an illustrator for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. His first card, Surfing Pikachu, was released for the Japan Railways Group Train Rally in August of 1997, and sporadically contributed to the TCG, up to and including EX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion. In the Rising Rivals and Supreme Victors expansions, a few of his illustrations were featured as the retro cards. Then, after a nearly 19 year absence, Toshinao Aoki returned to the TCG to illustrate Exeggutor for Crown Zenith.

In addition to Pokémon cards, his artwork was featured in the Pokémon Tales story books Pikachu's Day, Lapras Makes a Friend, I'm Not Pikachu, and Wake Up, Lugia!. In total, Aoki illustrated 56 cards for the trading card game. For a list of cards he illustrated, go here.
