The Pokémon Company is an affiliate of Nintendo that handles licensing and marketing for the Pokémon franchise.

According to the company's timeline, it began operations in 1998 with the opening of the first Pokémon Center retail store in Tokyo. Its trademark of Pokémon Ltd. was established in 2000.

The Pokémon Company's United States branch is Pokémon USA, which was established in 2001.
