::::Yes, stats are calculated differently in Generation I-II, that's what I'm bringing up. The template currently presents a stat range that only applies to Generation III-V, but leaves readers to discover on their own that this is the case. I can see how this could be considered trivial if the discrepancy was caused by the effects of natures alone, but it is not. For example, a level 100 Venusaur can reach an HP stat of 364 in Generation III-V, but not in Generation I-II, where an HP stat of 363 is the highest it can reach. Some Pokémon had their base stats changed in G6. This need some change for it, also for G1 Pokémon it should go for the old stat (since eg. in G6 Butterfree now has 90 Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def at 80, while Special was at 80, so it categorizes as "Special became its Special Defense", while it wasn't assigned any new number, since Special became both stats). Stats are calculated differently in these games. We need a separate template for these games. Wrrasba (talk) 19:03, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

I made a draft of the template for Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. Basically just add "lgpe=yes" to include all relevant LGPE information.

<s>Due to how AVs are now calculated and different battle modes to include or exclude AVs, they have all been calculated separately. One only has to add 200 AVs or assume 0 AVs to get the minimum/maximum ranges.</s> TehPerson (talk) 15:23, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
: EDIT: Nevermind. AVs have just been factored into the calculations. Might as well just keep it simple. TehPerson (talk) 19:40, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

Could this template be a little bit wider? It unnecessarily breaks into two lines when defense is 100 or higher and the bottom text could also take less space.

:For my PLA stat template, I used a flexbox (but not a responsive one): it has not set (so ), and set to . It is not responsive, because it does not need to be (it's here rather to prevent the line break), so is not set. As for the two words in there, I used the same two divs as in the current template, except that their properties are removed, and these now have set to . Because the flexbox's is set to , these have the maximum possible gap between them, without having to use properties. --<font color="turquoise">Bfdifan2006</font> (<font color="lime">T</font>/<font color="orange">C</font>) 15:34, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
== Editable stat chart for custom mons ==
Would it be possible to add a chart to this page that you can change to whatever stats you want? There aren't any sites that let you put custom base stats, and this would probably be the best place to do so. I don't know how hard it would be to do that, at least not making a new example chart every time. RavioliEX (talk) 15:52, 5 May 2022 (UTC) |

Usage
The average of all 386 Pokémon (assuming Deoxys is in Neutral mode):
But... How are we going to use this on the Glitched Pokémon?--Pokencyclopedia 12:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC) SuggestingHow about adding the stats for Lv1 and/or Lv5 (egg levels in IV/II&III)? Do the bars really have to be centered? The bar graphs made a lot more visual comparitive sense when they were left justified; when they're centered like this it's just really awkward looking. I highly suggest making them left justified again like they used to be positioned. ~Toastypk - Loom. 18:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Colors?Dragonite (Pokémon)#Base stats's box is dark purple. Black on dark purple is certainly readable (with the added disclaimer of "eventually", for some of the less visual readers), but it doesn't look nice. However, if using white text, then the light purple part has less contrast. You can have two font colors, but that's introducing inconsistency. LinksWhy are the stat names not linking? --SnorlaxMonster 02:45, 31 July 2010 (UTC) Defense bar does not align correctlySince this is supposed to be used for visual comparison, this might be an issue, but for me the defense title is a bit longer than all the others, so the bar starts a little further to the right, and thus appears longer at a first glance. It may be because I'm on Ubuntu and tthus using their fonts (I expect the template was designed on Windows). If the titles were all made a little bit longer (I'm not really sure how much - 10 to 20 pixels should do it), it would fix the problem. It's not a big deal, but I just thought I'd point it out. HP-affecting naturesThe current template implies the existence of HP-affecting natures. Yvnr (talk) 12:33, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
