Cross-series info

First of all, I mostly want to say I really like the new layout, nice work Wowy! This page definitely needed the overhaul.

Anyways, just off a glance it looks like while the information on the page is accurate to Super Mystery Dungeon there's some stuff that's inaccurate for the older games (Rescue Team at least) that I'm hesitant to edit myself since I'm not sure which games the changes happened in:

1. Wish and Future Sight (and probably Doom Desire) are user-targeting moves

2. Line of sight moves don't actually have infinite range iirc (I'd want to retest this to be sure), and definitely don't hit through teammates (though priority moves do)

3. Enemies also have 2-tile range when using room moves in hallways (I'd retest this as well to confirm, unless I'm interpreting it wrong)

If anyone with knowledge of the post-Rescue Team games could confirm when these mechanics changed and update the article accordingly, that would be great.--Cold (talk) 02:51, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for looking over this! Ahaha I knew there were going to be holes in information from the older games - I mostly based this off the original page I edited over.
1. a) I couldn't check Wish on my Time, so what's written at the moment is only for SMD (should have mentioned that though)
1. b) I assumed Future Sight and Doom Desire would work in the same way as Fly, Bounce, Dig etc. where these moves technically affect the user, since they are two turn moves, but will still only damage the enemy in front. But thinking of it now, Future Sight could work differently
2. I quickly checked it, and it was at least 8 tiles. The previous page said "anyone along the same row, column, or diagonal the user is facing" which I thought would mean infinite range. I should probably check this though. And didn't know about the teammates thing though!
3. I always had in mind that it was a 1 tile range, but it should be checked
Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to check most of these points because the Pokémon in my Time game are horribly underleveled (nor the will). Most of the stuff should be accurate to SMD though as you mentioned. But thanks for pointing these out! If you would like to edit per these points, I'm more than happy for you to do so!
As an aside, it might also be useful to expand the page to include PP, power, and accuracy (and call the page 'List of moves in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series') but not in the near future at least for me :P--Wowy(토크) 03:12, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, Future Sight in Mystery Dungeon was originally a weird fixed-damage buff instead of a damaging move, looks like it was changed by SMD though. Two-turn moves like Dig do actually have "User" listed as their range in Rescue Team now that you mention it but I'm not sure how to note this on the page without making it confusing.
I definitely agree that a more complete move data listing should be used eventually, especially for individual move pages - I've been collecting as much Rescue Team move data as I can for hopeful eventual use in such a project (though I think Eridanus or someone might have a more complete list).--Cold (talk) 22:30, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
The original article put moves such as Fly in "Front" with an asterisk and a footnote "Moves with an asterisk (*) technically affect the user, since they are two turn moves. They will still only damage the enemy in front though." I was debating whether I should put them down as "User" with a note, or "Front" with a note (though I forgot to out the notes on) and I eventually followed what was on the original article--Wowy(토크) 01:31, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

PP

Is it ok to add a column detailing how many PP each move has in the dungeon series? Each move page has a description for the move in each MD game but it's not possible to add a column to the table with the description.Shawn (talk) 13:23, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
