Kyogre (movie 9) Talk Page

Hello. I find that many stubs on this encyclopedia are unable to be anything but—there are some articles that just lack a sufficient amount of... well, anything to say about them. The exception is this: some articles can be analyzed. In fact, analysis is the only thing that has any potential to add to many of the articles here. When I say 'analysis', I don't mean unjustified speculation that has no basis in an encyclopedia. In fact, if anything is unjustified speculation on this site, it's Shipping—so oftentimes, I see people assuming that two characters have the hots for each other based off of a few insufficient things they call hints; it's purely subjective if you ask me.

Now this isn't a rant, and has nothing to do with Shipping. This is about this article. The article for Kyogre (movie 9) is considered a stub, and why? By itself, all that can be done with the article is giving a synopsis of what it did in Movie 9, and as it did barely anything, an article with nothing more than a synopsis of a one-minute scene of Kyogre firing a Hyper Beam isn't going to make an article.

This is where a little analysis comes in. Movie9 Kyogre may not have had enough of an appearance to make an article, or even a good movie scene for that matter. But if you look closely at various murals, stone tablets, and such depicted throughout the whole of Movie 9, you can see Kyogre depicted in many of them. Manaphy is always in the center of said art, but Kyogre is almost always somewhere nearby in the art, and it appears to be depicted as an important being in relation to Manaphy. As I do not as of yet own the DVD for Movie 9, I cannot give examples at the present moment, but if anyone else does have the movie, why not find screenshots in the movie where everyone is looking at various ancient artwork relating to Manaphy? Then, why not upload said screenshots, and describe in each one how Kyogre is depicted? There are actually a lot of examples, and if someone with the dvd posted a picture and summary of every piece of art in the movie where Kyogre is depicted, it would add a LOT to the article.

If you think that this would be a ridiculous thing to do, then ask yourselves two things: one, re-watch the movie, examine the scenes in question, and ask yourself if you can find Kyogre depicted in almost each of them. Two, ask yourself if you can think of anything else that would contribute to the article nearly as much. With this in mind, this might be the key to changing the page for Movie9 Kyogre from a stub to a truly decent article that might even teach fans something they actually didn't know about Movie9 Kyogre.
