Well, it's about time. On 9/11? Hmph. Typical. While we Americans are mourning and remembering that tragic event, the Japanese are just bitchin' around without a care in the world, apparently. Paul'sDialga 7:01 A.M., August 17, 2008

9/11 was tragic, but why should they bother? They're not Americans, it wasn't in their country. The 9/11 schedule is just coincidense. --Kyoufu Kawa 11:04, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Yup. It's not like the US is mourning every large-scale terrorist attack in the world. Try to see beyond your bubble. --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 11:36, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
And it's not like the episode was even about 9/11. Anyway, it was bound to happen, whether this episode or another. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links12:02 17 Aug 2008
Japan got nerve gas in their subways and America doesn't give a damn. Why should they? Aura-Knight 14:00, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Additionally, this isn't even the first time an episode first airs in Japan on a 9/11 anniversary. AG042 aired on 9/11 in 2003. Additionally, the dubbed version of the episode prior to that first aired on 9/11 in 2004, and the dub also had two initial airings on 9/11s prior to the attacks, so the Pokémon anime is certainly no stranger to 9/11 initial airings. I personally see no reason for anyone to be offended by the airdate. --Shiningpikablu252 17:42, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

All this whining is ridiculous. Is the entire world expected to grind to a halt just because of the anniversary on September 11th? Should every TV network in the world stop airing? Should people quit working altogether and just sit down and do nothing? No. I don't even think this whole airing on September 11th thing is notable. Hell, even the TV networks in America have to be airing something on September 11. PaulsDialga is just bitching for no bloody reason. Sorry for my vehemence, but this whole thing is just so STUPID. I say we ignore him and not even bother with that note. I bet Wikipedia isn't putting "an episode of this aired on September 11th" on every article for every TV program. Why should we? This is hardly controversial, like, I dunno, Jynx or the Porygon episode. Pikapi 18:10, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Why are you guys getting so offended, its just a show airing on its normal scedule which just happens to be on september 11th? and it shouldnt be any concern to the japanese seeing as it wasnt their country. and all they are doing is airing a very popular show on its normal schedule and your mad. and you guys are complaining about it on a wiki dedicated to that show, something you've all contributed to for years so suck it up and stop bitchin about it! The way I see it from my own American self, BIG DEAL! It is a show, it is airing in another country. That day was tragic, but we have to move on. Most Americans are going to be doing their normal activities that day anyway.

----HoennMaster 05:16, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

I edited out the part about people being offended because, let's be honest, you have to be some idiot to honestly believe a TV show airing on the same day is offensive. I'm sorry, but people need to think before they type.
Japan shouldn't care, really. They should respect us for losing so many lives, but they still shouldn't care to the point of skipping an episode. --Ricco 01:22, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
Do you expect the whole damn world to stop because of something that happened in America? I don't see us not airing certain shows on the anniversary of the day we nuked Hiroshima. We don't have respect for their lost so why should they have it for us? Way more people died in Hiroshima then on 9/11. Not to mention the Japanese Americans that were put through hell because of Pearl Harbor. I can't believe anyone would say something so petty and stupid. For what we did to them, that doesn't even compare. And its not like American programming has any more sympathy. They are stupid shows all the time without even mentioning 9/11. You should be thankful that Japan forgave us or else who knows, there may not be any Pokémon in America nor any anime. Would you like that? --ケンジガール 02:03, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Celestic Town Contest

Does this mean they've reached Celestic Town for the contest it seems most likely she was a cordinater in the games User:Tsg812 9:54, August 17, 2008

Doesn't say he wins does it? he'll probably lose if he challenges her, then Dawn will train for the next contest with Fantina Aura-Knight 14:00, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
And given its location, it's possible we could see the PIA around Hearthome when it comes time for the gym battle. --Shiningpikablu252 17:42, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Mentioning 9/11

Do we really have to mention that? Anyone can look at the date and figure it out for themselves. And why do we even have to mention the episodes that aired on the 9/11s that happened before the attacks? I'm sure that we have had Pokémon episodes that have aired on days of other disasters yet we don't mention any of them. Personally I believe we shouldn't mention things like this being it has nothing to do with nor does it effect the episode in general. --ケンジガール 05:37, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
