Steven (Japanese: サイガ Saiga) is a character of the day of the anime who appeared in the episode Whichever Way the Wind Blows.
He was a scientist who explained to Ash, Misty and Brock the evolution process of Gloom into Bellossom or Vileplume.

| Steven has three Oddish which he uses to study the Evolution of them into Vileplume and Bellossom. They first appeared when Ash and his friends found them knocked out, Brock was able to heal them. They appeared throughout the day by Ash, his friends and Steven's side.
