Skyler (Japanese: ??? Tabiyo - Tabiyo not confirmed spelling.) is a character of the day in the Pokémon anime. He first appeared in The Big Balloon Blow-Up. His dream is to become a Professional Hot Air Balloon pilot.
He convinced Ash and his friends to participate in the Hot Air Balloon Race. His father, Jyunza, lent Ash and friends a Pikachu shaped balloon. During the course of the race Team Rocket had sabotaged many of the competition's balloons and then cheated by using a rocket launcher on Ash's Noctowl and Pikachu. Skyler used his Fearow's Drill Peck to destroy Team's Rocket rocket launcher and save Ash's Pokémon.
Both him and Ash won the first place prize, a Hot Air Balloon engine. However, Ash gave it to Skyler to help Skyler fulfill his dreams of becoming a professional Hot Air Balloon pilot.
