May flirting with Brock

ShoppingShipping is the belief in a romantic relationship between May and Brock. Its name comes from episode Taming of the Shroomish, where both May and Brock go on shopping sprees together. While traveling to Rustboro City, the gang stops to enjoy some urban life in Ridgen Town. May is excited about being in the city after traveling through the woods for such a long time. Her first thoughts are to go window shopping, while Brock seeks to stock up on supplies. After discovering Brock has a Town Map, May quickly decides to go with Brock, while Ash and Max go off to get something to eat then look for Pokémon. Brock is escorted around by May from store to store looking at jewelry, dresses and accessories. After Brock finally manages to get the supplies, May asks what he got, and joyfully compliments him that he's "reliable and so organized." Afterward, the two over hear a couple talking about a curse. With enthusiasm, May makes an inquiry about this "curse", and is told about a Haunted Mansion. The female of the couple tells May about the Mansion, and unfortunately scares Brock. May, who isn't effected by the story, then eagerly drags a not so willing Brock off to go and investigate. Brock whines in protest, but May ignores his pleads. This is a switch around in the fact that, stereotypically, it’s the guy who is portrayed as coaxing the girl into exploring the old mansion.
