Pseudo-legendary is a term used to refer to the Pokémon Dragonite, Tyranitar, Flygon, Salamence, Metagross, and Garchomp.

The distinguishing features of the pseudo-legendaries are that they have a three-stage evolution line; have two types; and, in most cases, have a double weakness. Pseudo-legendaries are more powerful than other Pokémon and have an outstanding Attack stat. They also have incredibly diverse movepools and can only be found in their first form. This can be a nuisance, since they require a lot of experience to level up.
