The Pokémon Ping Pong Tournament is an event where Pokémon and Trainer form a pair and compete in a game of ping pong. The Trainer uses a racket while the partner Pokémon uses its tail, hands, etc. to hit the ball. The prize for winning the competition are six Nuggets and a lot of food.
The tournament was first featured in DP124 held in Tatsunami Town. Ash, Dawn, Barry, Jessie and Ō competed in the tournament with Pikachu, Ambipom, Empoleon, Meowth and Shiftry respectively.
During Dawn and Ō's match, Dawn's racket was broken, forcing Ambipom to battle alone. But she soon lost the match and the winner of the tournament wasn't revealed.
