ポケモンカードゲームDP4 Pokémon Card Game DP4 is the name given to the fourth Japanese expansion of cards of the Diamond & Pearl era of the TCG. The set is composed of two subsets, 月光の追跡 Moonlit Pursuit and 夜明けの疾走 Dawn Dash.
Set Size
- Dawn Dash: 65 cards
- Moonlit Pursuit: 65 cards
- Both: 13 cards
- Total: 143 cards
Release information
- 36th Japanese release
- Released on October 26, 2007
Information
- The Japanese set is composed of two subsets: Moonlit Pursuit and Dawn Dash. Moonlit Pursuit is based on the legendary Pokémon Cresselia, the name of the subset being a reference to its role in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Dawn Dash is based on Leafeon and Glaceon, the two new evolutions of Eevee introduced in the games.
- The reason behind splitting the set into two subsets was to also split up the cards available. Two booster packs were made available: one for Moonlit Pursuit and one for Dawn Dash. Of the 143 cards in the set, 130 were exclusive to one of the two subsets, with thirteen being available in both subsets.
- The subsets retire the long-standing Mysterious Fossil, which has been in circulation since 1999. In Moonlit Pursuit, the new Helix Fossil card is available, as are Dome Fossil and Old Amber in Dawn Dash. With this change, all Fossil Pokémon now have their own Trainer card from which to evolve.
- The cards released in Card Game DP4 have spanned three English-language releases. Most of the set was part of Great Encounters, but four cards were included in Secret Wonders: Weavile, Gardevoir, Gardevoir LV.X and Honchkrow LV.X. Six cards from the set's half-deck were also included. All remaining cards were eventually released in Majestic Dawn.
