Much like how every region has a [[legendary trio]], every region also has a legendary duo. These Pokémon often either share traits (such as {{p|Latios}} and {{p|Latias}}) or are polar opposites (such as {{p|Cresselia}} and {{p|Darkrai}}). They are often found after the Elite Four but aren't as important in the main storyline as the trios are.
