Fizzy Bubbles

Fizzy Bubbles is a fan-made, text-based RPG that exists on UPN, Serebii.net forums, and Bulbagarden forums. It is a Pokémon RPG, and training Pokémon is part of the game. However, it is not the focus.

The main part of the game happens in a number of different zones, where players can have various adventures. However, the adventure is not made by the player. Instead, an updator will create the obstacles, which the player must then find a way past. The player can make decisions such as what area to go to, and a general mission, if they have one. Yet most of the adventure is created by the updator. There are rules in place to ensure that all wild Pokémon encounters and actions are made by the updator, and not the player.

As well as the zones, there are also a number of shops that the player can use. These range from a daycare, where a Pokémon can gain two levels a week for free, to an arcade, where players can play flash games for prizes.

The currency used is the Rare Candy. While this is still used for gaining levels, its role as currency gives it a number of other uses. One free Rare Candy is given out to each player in the Pokémart each monday, though there are other ways to gain candies.

Fizzy Bubbles began on UPN, before later expanding to Serebii.net, and more recently to Bulbagarden Forums.
