Trivia

  • The dot-code data for the Expedition print of the card incorrectly refers to this card as the Base Set card Energy Removal.

Origin

The original Energy Removal had no disadvantage to playing it, instantly removing any Energy card attached to the opponent's Pokémon. A lucky player could save these cards in their hand until the opponent had charged up their Active Pokémon to attack with full power, then decimate the Pokémon's Energy source with no trouble. With this card, however, a player must get lucky with coin flips.
