EP119: Difference between revisions

While traveling through a forest Ash and friends discover several dead or heavily damaged trees, and a group of bug Pokémon they believe to be responsible. Upon identifying the unknown bug-types as {{p|Heracross}}, Ash expresses a desire to capture them. Before he can do so, however, a [[Woodrow|Forest Ranger]] emerges from behind the group and explains that such an action could potentially destabilize the natural balance of the forest. The Ranger goes on to explain that a population of {{p|Pinsir}} living in the other half of the forest are - for reasons unknown - invading the territory of their Heracross neighbors, resulting in the damage the group had noticed. Upon being told this, the group discovers a group of Pinsir rampaging toward the tree that the Heracross were feeding on. They start to climb the tree and scare off the {{p|Butterfree}} that were feeding on the sap the Heracross left them. Ash and Misty attempt to encourage the Heracross by telling them to scare off the Pinsir, but fail, as the Heracross flee the tree. All there was left was a lone Heracross who the group thinks is thanking them for scaring off the Pinsir. It turns out that the Heracross was feeding on the pollen inside {{AP|Bulbasaur}}'s bulb. An enraged Bulbasaur uses its {{m|Vine Whip}} to smack the Heracross away.
