The Island of Giant Pokémon (Japanese: きょだいポケモンのしま!? Island of Giant Pokémon!?) is episode 17 of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on July 22, 1997 and in USA on September 30, 1998.

Now hit by a Dragon Rage atack, the humans are seperated from their Pokémon on an island containing many giant Pokémon...

Synopsis

After the attack caused by a group of Gyrados Ash anhd his friend end up on an island were they realize that some of Ash's pokemon are missing. Then on another side of the island a seperated Pikachu find the pokeball and let the pokemon out, Charmander,Bulbasaur and squirtel. They thne try and as a slowpoke, using his tail to fishing, for help but with little result. On another side of the island Jesse and James wake up to fing their pokemon are missing including meowth.They find a phone booth and atempt to call their Boss for help but are hung up on when they started their motto. While trying to find Ash, his pokemon are found by Team Rockets pokemon. Meowth attacks them only to find out Koffin and Ekans won't help him fight because he is not their master. All the pokemon join together, Meowth is tied up for he has done to Pikachu and the others.While they are eating a giant Rhidon attack the pokemn escape and untie meowth. At the same time Ash, Misty and Brock are being chased by a giant Zapdos they elude it and decided to rest, but Ash vows to fing his pokemon. At the same time Jesse and James are being chased by a huge Moltres.They run into a sing and are knocked out. The next they Team Rocket runs to the phone booth and use it to get help by pulling on the wire. They see a pikachu and decide to catch it not realizeing until too late it is a huge pikachu. The pokemon still searching for Ash and Team Rocket giant verison of Charizard,Blastoid and Venusaur which they ask, except venusaur, for help and it end up badly. Team Rocket, still holfing the telephone wire, now being chased by a huge Kabutops jump into a cart to get away and start it up and head backward toward the Kabutops and it gets it's foot tied in the wire and his draged after Team Rocket. Then Ash and friends Find the giant Pikachu which is then kncoked down with beause of Team Rocket. Ash and friend fall into the cart with team rocket. Then they see their Pokemon hased by the previously mention pokemon, except the flying ones.The pokemon make a last jump to their trainers and a reutnited.Then the cart is sent flying into the air because of a rollercoaster typed rail way, were they crash into the huge flying pokemon were it is reveled to be a robot they crash into the other robot pokemon. Then cart crashes into the water. Then we see that the island was an attraction resort owned by the Boss.
