Electric Shock Showdown (Japanese: でんげきたいけつ！クチバジム Electric Shock Showdown! Kuchiba Gym) is episode 14 of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on July 1, 1997 and in USA on September 25, 1998.
Ash finally arrives in Vermillion City and is ready to prove that he can defeat a Gym Leader through battle rather than sympathy. However, his opponent is a very tough Raichu that has made the Pokémon Center very busy...
