Sailor is an unnamed character of the day in the Pokémon anime who appeared in the episode Hoenn Alone!. He works on a boat which travels from the Seafoam Islands to Littleroot Town. Ash refers to him as the Captain of the boat, so he may well be in charge. His Japanese voice actor is 小西克幸 Katsuyuki Konishi.
He's very kind, and likes to get involved in his job, helping passengers on his boat with any problems they have - even to the extent of battling Team Rocket for Ash with his Machoke in the food store of his ship when Pikachu, his only Pokémon at the time, was stolen.
After a tank at the bottom of the ship broke, he was forced to stay behind to fix it while Ash went off with Officer Jenny to get Pikachu back. He promised to have it fixed by nightfall, and warned that if Ash wasn't back by then they'd have to leave without him.
He is crestfallen when it appears Ash could not make it back in time, but is pleased when Ash makes it just in time. The Sailor has not appeared since.
