A white apricorn from the anime.

Apricorn' are fruit that grow on trees in groves around Johto. They come in seven colors: WHT (White), RED (Red), BLU (Blue), BLK (Black), PNK (Pink), GRN (Green), and YLW (Yellow). Kurt, a Poké Ball smith, can make a different Poké Ball out of each color apricorn, and each of those Poké Balls has its own name, its own special colors, and its own specific uses.

Each apricorn is valuable because apricorn trees are very sensitive; picking an apricorn before it is ripe, or picking too many at once could damage the entire tree.

Apparently, Apricorn Poké Balls are much rarer than the usual kinds, but in older times almost all Poké Balls were made out of apricorn.

Its name probably derives from the apricot, a fruit-bearing tree native to China.
