List of glitches (Generation I)

The Cut Glitch is the glitch in Generations I, II, and possibly III and IV that allows the player to get stuck on top of a cuttable tree. To perform the glitch, the player must have the Gym Badge allowing the use of Cut, and the cut HM or a Pokémon that knows cut. The steps are as follows:

• Cut down a cuttable tree.
• Stand on the spot where the tree was.
• Save the game.
• Turn off the power.
• Load the game.
• If done in the right generation, the player should be standing on top of a tree.

Warning: This glitch may cause the player to be permanently stuck on the tree, requiring that a new game be started.
