This title is incorrect due to technical limitations. The correct title is a.

a is a glitch found the Pokemon Red and Blue versions by doing the following:

(A) go to the Gambler just east of Saffron City, (B) go to either the biker in western route 13 or the one just below him (there are two of them together). Have the trainer off screen, walk up to him and immidiately press start before the trainer can see you. Then fly to Fucshia City. Go east to route 14 and make sure a Pokemon with a special stat of 192 is with you. Have that Pokemon first in your party. Run into a wild Ditto, and make sure it transforms into your Pokemon with the 192 special stat. Then defeat the ditto. After this, do not run into any other wild Pokemon. Go back to the route where the trainer you originally evaded is located (for the gambler, east of Saffron, for the bikers, route 13). Press B and the glitch a will appear.

If "a" is raised to around level 42, the game may unexpectedly freeze. "a" will naturally learn unusual glitch moves such as TM50. When asked to learn, say "no" because if you say "yes", the game will freeze. Since you need to press the A button or B button several times in order to see "a" (the letters are displaced), it is recommended that the player rename it.

"a"'s Yellow version equivalent is "4B4Hy", whose number will be #080 (as opposed to the Red/Blue "a", who will have #061). The Yellow version "4B4Hy" will also have types one and two blank, and have the cry of a Jigglypuff song when its stats are viewed.

Much like Q, a has a number that corresponds to another Kanto Pokmon, Poliwhirl.
