Chatot is a character in the video game Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2. He is Wigglytuff 's second-in-command, and his best friend. Chatot assigns explorations to the guild members, and is in charge when Wigglytuff falls asleep. Although he means well, he can be somewhat hotheaded. His personality is also somewhat erratic, but to a lesser extent than Wigglytuff. Chatot accompanies the player and partner during the Brine Cave exploration, up until the relay point, where he angrily chases Team Skull. After reprimanding the wounded Skuntank, he heads forward, and when the player and partner spot him, he protects them and is attacked by Kabutops and the Omastar brothers, much like before, where he explored the same dungeon with Wigglytuff, and was attacked in the same manner.
After the credits roll, in the team's Mystifying Forest exploration, he plays as one of the "minions" of "the grand master of all things bad," A.K.A. Wigglytuff.
In the anime
Chatot made an appearance in the Mystery Dungeon 2 special as Wigglytuff's partner. Although he doesn't have much of a role outside of the guild, he expains to Team Poképals about the legend of the Time Gears and the evil work of Grovyle the Thief.
