Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team is a six-part manga based on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. It follows the adventures of Ginji, a reckless boy who turns into a Torchic, who forms a rescue team with a cautious Mudkip.

The manga has been translated into English. It was released in issues of Nintendo Power in the USA and Jetix magazine in the UK. A compilation of the story has been released in America by Viz. Unlike other Pokémon manga, Ginji's Rescue Team is read from right to left, as is the case in Japanese.

Chapters

1) Pokémon to the Rescue

A boy named Ginji falls asleep out of fatigue looking for his birthday present and wakes up as a Torchic. After meeting a Mudkip, the two enter a fissure to rescue a Pokémon crying for help. They are attacked by many Pokémon on the way, such as Sunkern, Wurmple, and Rattata but Ginji fends them off with Flamethrower. They find the Pokémon that was crying for help, which is a Caterpie trapped on top of a tall rock. As they went to get Caterpie, a shot of silk hits Ginji. As Ginji untangles himself from the silk, Mudkip attacks with Water Gun against the Ariados that shot Gingi with Spider Web. Then Ginji attacks Ariados with Flamethrower and knocks it out. As they return Caterpie out of the fissure, Mudkip asks if they can make a rescue team and Ginji agrees to it.
