Release information

A special variant of this card was available at the Pokémon exhibit at San Diego Comic Con between July 23-26, 2008. The card features the event logo. A gold foil stamped "Staff" version was also given to those overseeing the Pokémon exhibit. In Japan, a holographic promotional version of this card was released as part of the DP Card Exchange campaign in November 2007.

Trivia

The "West Sea" part of Shellos's name is a subcategorization of the card to allow it to only evolve into its respective Gastrodon form.

Origin

Recover is a move in the Pokémon games that Shellos can learn. Mud Spatter's Japanese name is that of Mud-Slap, which Shellos can also learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Diamond.
