The Regional Birds is the collective term of the birds that can be find in each regio. All the members have Normal Flying as there typing. Each member is concepted by a bird.

Since his debut this evolutionary family has been popular. It has been used by Blue in Red and Blue Versions, Gold and Silver Versions, FireRed and LeafGreen Versions and HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions. It has also be used by Falkner in Gold, Silver, and Crystal Versions.

Hoothoot and Noctowl are the second Regional Birds in the National Pokedex order. They are the first Regional Birds that have a two stage family.
