The credits of a Pokémon game usually appear once the Elite Four and Champion have been defeated. Then the player is then taken to the Hall of Fame, where he or she is made Champion. Then the credits roll. Usually, during the credits, it shows how the player gets home from the Pokémon League, and, in the case of Pokémon Platinum, several flashbacks throughout the player's adventure. The credits list the staff members (from translators to artists) that had worked on the game.

In side games, the credits usually roll after reaching a critical point in the storyline, such as the player saving Almia from the Incredible Machine (in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia), or defeating Rayquaza (in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team)
