Trivia
- The Japanese title of this episode is the same as a previously shown anime short. The dub title is a reference to the homophonous nature of "corps" and "core", though it has been accidentally made singular by removing the "s" (corps is the singular as well as the plural).
- This is the first episode of the 3rd millennium in Japan.
Errors
- After Ash congratulates Pikachu for beating a Fearow, one Pichu says "Pika".
