That’s the same thing, desu or death. Just like what happened with Polteageist, it used to say Pottodesu and was later changed to Potdeath. Technically both are correct, but -death hides a secondary meaning, so -desu is preferable imo [[User:Veledwin|Veledwin]] ([[User talk:Veledwin|talk]]) 04:06, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

== paldean or kitakamian? ==
pokemon home lists this as a paldean pokemon - however, it can only be obtained in kitakami, a distinct region. there's a similar conundrum with ogerpon, the loyal three, pecharunt, dipplin, archaludon, and hydrapple. none of these can be found in paldea, and require traveling to outside regions. one of these is an existing region with its own existing set of native pokemon, muddying the water further.

Poltchageist has 12 letters in its name, not 11. Kangaflora (talk) 01:12, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

The page mentions unique characters, not total amount of letters. There are two T's. Oneofthosedf (talk) (contribs) 01:18, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

i've seen somewhere that its official jp trademarked name is "chadeath"

It's extrapolation from Polteageist's JP name being "Potdeath". It could very well be "Chadeath", but i think it's still speculation for now and we don't have official sources for now stating its romaji name. Anzasquiddles 2222(:D)SSSS (talk page) 06:23, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
