Japanese name origin

ヒメンカ is more likely a portmanteau of 姫（ヒメ）"princess" and 綿花（メンカ）"raw cotton". Qool (talk) 20:11, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Alternative Potential Source of English Name

While fleur of course means flower regardless of how you look at the name Gossifleur, I believe that that there may be another potential source of of "Gossi" other than the genus of plant, Gossypium. I think it may also be inspired from the word "gossamer" meaning a material or substance that is very light or delicate such as a flower petal or a seeding dandelion. Korean Name Origin

꼬모카 is based off of 꽂, which means flower and 목화 which means cotton. Makes sense to me. -- Buddy002 (talk) 15:17, 5 June 2019 (CST)

Chinese Name Origin
