:Regarding the debate, it seems that Franky7 believes that catching a Pokémon is not the same as obtaining one (apparently, there is a slight difference between the words in Italy), despite several pages for main characters' Pokémon using the words "acquired/obtained", as well as the episode category "Episodes in which a main character obtains a new Pokémon" existing on the wiki. I think the current wording for Ash's Unova Pokémon from Pignite onwards is misleading, since Oshawott was not actually "caught", but was given to Ash instead.
