Pikachū (Japanese: ピカチュウ) as a species are generally not very strong. However, Ash Ketchum's Pikachu is extremely powerful, capable of taking down Ground-types in a single hit (Ground is generally immune to Electricity). According to Meowth, Pikachu's power vastly exceeds its evolutionary level, which is basically code for its being a Mary Sue. Its Japanese seiyu is 大谷育江 Ikue Ohtani, and is not dubbed.
