Morrison (Japanese: マサムネ Masamune) is a Pokémon trainer who is dressed in traditional Japanese attire. His voice actress in the Japanese version is 野沢雅子 Masako Nozawa, who is best known for her role as Goku in Dragonball.
The way Morrison dresses may be a reference to Masamune, a swordsmith, or perhaps Date Masamune, a Daimyo. He first appeared in AG118, and returned to compete in the Hoenn League. He and Ash declared themselves to be rivals.
In AG130, Ash and Morrison battled in the Hoenn League, and Ash proved victorious, defeating Morrison after he was hesitant to battle his new friend.
