Genius Sonority, Inc. is a company established in June 2002 by 山名 学 Manabu Yamana and jointly owned by Nintendo and the Pokémon Company. Much of Genius Sonority's staff includes former employees of Heartbeat, the developer of Dragon Quest VII.
So far, Genius Sonority has developed only two games: Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, both for the Nintendo GameCube. Currently, it is working on Pokémon Torōze for the Nintendo DS.
