(Japanese: リンゾー Rinzō) is a character of the day in Guarding the Guardian of the Mountain!. He is a Pokémon hunter who wanted to capture a Volcarona. Brycen, Ash and his friends did not allow this but Rinzō didn't care and still went for Volcarona. He had a battle with Ash determining Volcarona's freedom if Ash won. Ash sends out Krokorok who was training with Ash earlier against Rinzō's male Jellicent. Krokorok was able to take him out and things went well for the good guys until Rinzō sends out his female Jellicent. Their combined Hydro Pumps sends Krokorok flying and into the cage, leaving Rinzō excited as he now had two Pokémon. Brycen takes Ash's place and battles the poacher with Beartic.
