The foreign {{tc|Team Rocket Grunt}} who stole the [[Machine Part]] is a character who first appeared in {{game|Gold and Silver|s}}. He speaks in very broken English.

==In the games==
===In Kanto===
In Generations II and IV, he has taken the [[Machine Part]] from the [[Power Plant]] in order to cause panic. He is the only member of Team Rocket from another country. He is first encountered inside [[Cerulean Gym]], where he bumps into the player while trying to exit at the same time as the player enters. He tells the player that he is rushed and that nobody should see him. Later, he is encountered at [[Kanto Route 24|Nugget Bridge]] where he offers to tell the player his secret if he is defeated in battle. After defeating him, he admits to stealing the Machine Part and reveals that he hid it in Cerulean Gym. In Generation II, he hid it in the water in the center of the Gym, whereas in Generation IV, he hid it near an inflatable tube. He then tells the player that Team Rocket will come from Johto to seek revenge, before being told by the player that Team Rocket has disbanded. In Generation IV only, he tells the player that he will return to his home country, where he will found Team Rocket. He then disappears, and is not seen again.

===In Unova===
In Generation V, he has returned to his native country, [[Unova]]. He now lives with his wife and son in a house in [[Icirrus City]] that can only be accessed in the [[Season (mechanic)|Winter]]. Despite being in his home country, he still speaks in broken English. He says that while he had planned to revive Team Rocket, soon after returning home he fell in love and then married. He uses the overworld sprite of a {{tc|Roughneck}}. His wife gives away a [[RageCandyBar]], saying that it she has plenty of them as souvenirs from her husband's old coworker, and that they are the coworker's favorite.
