'''City Names''' is a unique playthrough conducted by [[User:Rockapheller|Rockapheller]] in the main series [[Pokémon games]]. In each playthrough, the [[player character]] is given the name of a city, and the regular [[party]] members are assigned [[nickname]]s based on a specific theme. For example, in the initial playthrough following this theme, which emulated [[Pokémon Legends: Arceus]], the player character was named {{wp|Athens}}, after the capital of {{wp|Greece}}. The Pokémon within the party were named after Greek gods and goddesses from Greek mythology.

The alternative playthrough is [[User:Rockapheller/Brandt|Brandt]] where the male player character only catches Pokémon that correspond to the game of the generation it is based on. His female counterpart is [[User:Rockapheller/Brandy|Brandy]] who follows the same rules as Brandt except the Pokémon Brandt has already trained.
