Soft resets

You should add something about soft-resetting to get shiny starters/legendaries/other story Pokemon. It is a fairly common practice. Flyingtypefan 22:56, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Masuda method

also using 2 japanese or 2 french Pokemon in the daycare doesn't work I believe :) good guide tho! better than others I've read extra note-the poke balls thing, it is VERY important to avoid stepping in grass as much as possible without plenty of poke balls, for example on route 102, with only 4 poke balls (that of course were given, and I used one) the first Pokemon i encountered was a shiny shinx, I got lucky and now Jinx the luxray is about to beat the elite four :) also-soft resetting also works on starters, and is the only way to get a shiny starter without breeding it. The masuda method also is the easiest way to get shinies before getting the national pokedex, or without straining ur eyes if ur like me and play at night in the dark also maybe put a lil section for the best times to trade in the gts for a foreign language pokemon by depositing it? personally 12-4 am is the best time for me (live in arkansas, usa) and I already bred a shiny shinx using a pokemon I recieved at 3 am (which I gave to my dad since he didnt believe shinies existed)-oh that reminds me you could also put its a rumor that shiny pokemon do not exist and its all a myth, usually if the person does not check the internet...but still noticable, sorry for the long paragraph I'll shut up now :) AngelicWitch93 the Shiny Pokémon Breeder (In training) 19:36, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
