i'm really sorry

i don't know how to remove messages from my talk, so i removed it like i did before. sorry about that.

In general, we don't like things removed from the talk page. They're kind of a history of everything that's said, so we keep them intact. If you want to "archive" them--that is, put it 'out of sight' but still leave it available to see--let me know, and I'll show you how. -- evkl (need to talk?) 03:14, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Edit to the above: also, sign everything on your talk page with four tildes (~~~~) (edit: like I forgot to do) -- evkl (need to talk?) 03:15, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

i'm new

i'm kind of new to this, so i don't know what's bad and what's good. please forgive me. --FinalFlygon122 03:17, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

it's all good. we don't eat our newbies. if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else. also, really sorry about the bombardment of edits, it's kinda late and i'm kinda not thinking as much as I should be. -- evkl (need to talk?) 03:22, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

that's OK

i understand how you feel. somehow, i'm always hyped up most when i'm up late, so i don't think as much as usual. but seriously, two emails in a row. wow. --FinalFlygon122 03:25, 27 July 2009 (UTC) Pokémon Forever!

There are all sorts of templates that you can use. They're in the format {{User (tagname)}}, where (tagname) is the name of the tag; they can be found in Category: Other Tags. You can also look on other users' pages, click "view source/edit" at the top, and see how they do theirs. But don't edit their pages. That's a no-no. -- evkl (need to talk?) 03:40, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Archiving

Like a talk page archive? Make a new page at your user talk/archive1 or something and move the current page there. Then your talk is fresh again. -- evkl (need to talk?) 15:30, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

If the old page is moved, the user talk page will automatically blank. If you do it by copy and paste and then delete all the old stuff, that's fine too. As long as it's preserved somewhere. -- evkl (need to talk?) 17:19, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Never mind then, I'm good. --FinalFlygon122 18:49, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Making new pages

Type in the page you want to make--say, User:FinalFlygon122/NewPage, and make that page. I think that's what you're talking about--you can really make anything you want, and you can have (theoretically) unlimited subpages (but please abide by userspace edit rules.) -- evkl (need to talk?) 22:59, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

If you want to make a new page type the name of the page you want into the search box and click on the red link. That will take you to the editing pane. If you want to make a new talk page for an article that already exists, go to the article and click on the red "discussion" link at the top of the page. —darklordtrom 07:33, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
