Relocator
The Relocator (Japanese: 転送マシン Transfer Machine) is a feature exclusive to Pokémon Black and White that allows the transfer of specific event items and Pokémon from the Generation IV games.
Usage
This feature is used to transfer any of the four Pokémon distributed to commemorate the thirteenth Pokémon movie—Celebi and the Shiny Legendary beasts (Raikou, Entei, and Suicune). These Pokémon can only trigger their respective in-game events if transferred to Generation V via Relocator; they cannot activate these events if transferred via Poké Transfer. The unused event item Lock Capsule is also transferred to Pokémon Black and White using the Relocator.
The Relocator has screens and options similar to those of Poké Transfer. Because of this, transferring requires two Nintendo DS systems as well as Generation IV and V games of the same region, meaning that, for example, a Japanese version of either Black or White is not compatible with an English Pokémon Platinum. In addition, players are also prohibited from sending over Pokémon that know HM moves or that are holding items. This means that the Berries held by the event Pokémon must be removed.
Activation
The Relocator is unlocked by inputting certain keywords to answer questions using the easy chat system when talking to a Scientist in Castelia City. The Scientist is located on 11F of the building on the west side of Central Plaza. After unlocking the Relocator, it can be accessed from the main menu.
