The episode title.

I am pretty sure the name is "Why? Why not?", I own it on DVD, and last time I remember it was typed out on the episode list as "Why? Why not?" I might be wrong, but since I was being reverted, I think we should discuss this right here right now, to prevent edit wars. TheBlazikenMaster 10:09, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Wynaut is the focus of the episode. It'd make sense for the English title to be "Why? Wynaut!" To Master the Onixpected is a similar pun. TTEchidna 10:24, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I get it now. Tell you what, I will use my camera to record the title from my television when I get home (currently using a school computer), and if I'm right, I will post that photo as proof, if I'm wrong, then the discussion will be over with no change to the page. TheBlazikenMaster 10:32, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
He's right, though. The title does say Why? Why Not!. Not surprisingly, it was a mistake on 4Kids' part. I've been meaning to fix it for awhile, but never got around to it. I too would provide a screenshot as proof, but I'm at college now and didn't bring any of my Pokémon DVDs with me. --PAK Man Talk 12:33, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that owns Pokémon DVDs. I have a proof, right here. If the proof ain't good enough, then I guess we won't be adding this. I used my camera to record my TV. I won't re-add the info unless everyone else tells me what they think. TheBlazikenMaster 13:47, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, the title in the episode does say Why? Why Not! but the page on Pokemon.com provides the name Why? Wynaut!, so this could have been the intended name. We usually correct titles in case of such disambiguation when there is an obvious misprint in the anime (like in EP064 or EP124). Should we do it here? --Pokeresp 19:33, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
  • I don't think I made myself clear, look at the proof I gave you, I'm going to ask one simple question:

Is that proof good enough? TheBlazikenMaster 11:40, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

I am still confused on where this conversation led: Is the title "Why? Why Not!" or "Why? Wynaut!" MoldyOrange 02:52, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Still to nothing. Maybe, we'd better add this "Why? Wynaut!" stuff to the trivia, as in Sick Daze/Sick Days and Go West, Young Meowth/Hollywood Heartbreak? --Pokeresp 12:38, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
I am not convinced. Everywhere in the world 4Kids-based version air, it's "Wynaut". It seems to be a DVD "error", and DVDs tend to differ from broadcast versions. Most people know it as "Wynaut" and that's beyond a discussion... --AtoMan 20:31, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Trivia Notes

  • Team Rocket calls their bag of potato chips 'doughnut holes' (At least, I think they were potato chips. XD) Littlmiget123 15:18, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Found another error (I think)

The Rising Badge is missing from the title card, even though Ash obtained it in the previous episode.--Emdude 02:44, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Nope, that's not an error. The badge is there, but it's black appearrance makes it difficult to see. :--SuperAipom7 (Wanna chat?) 02:46, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Oooooh. Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me :) --Emdude 03:07, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Your welcome :--SuperAipom7 (Wanna chat?) 03:08, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Move to Why? Wynaut?

I think we should probably move this page to Why? Wynaut?. It is the real episode title, and Why? Why not? was just an error made by 4Kids Entertainment. Satoshi101 00:39, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Why should we move it when the page is "EP255"? Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 00:43, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Oh sorry, I meant change the episode title. Satoshi101 00:49, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Personally, I don't see wynaut. But that's just my opinion, that doesn't mean to go ahead and change it. But it's not like it'd be the first time. We'll see what KG thinks. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 00:52, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
