Trivia

  • In the Japanese release, the effect of the Conversion 1 attack will be removed if either Porygon or the affected Pokémon were moved to the Bench. When this card was released in English, Conversion 1's effect was altered to remain after either Pokémon were Benched.
  • This is the only Pokémon in the set which is neither a Dark Pokémon nor a Pokémon capable of evolving in a Dark Pokémon from the set.

Origin

Conversion 1 is derived from Conversion, a move in the Pokémon games that Porygon can learn. Psybeam is a move in the Pokémon games that Porygon can learn. This card's Pokédex entry and illustration reference the prize Porygon that can be won at Rocket Game Corner.
