Kanta

(Japanese: カンタ Kanta) is one of the two characters Ash and company meet in the beginning of the movie Arceus and the Jewel of Life. He is accompanied by Kako. Kanta, along with Kako, battled with Ash and Dawn for the watermelons and also introduced Ash and his friends the idea of seeing the ruins of their town. His Japanese voice actress is Motoko Kumai and his English voice actor is Jamie McGonnigal.

Kanta used Heracross in the tag battle against Ash and Dawn over the watermelons that Kanta and Kako had collected but had washed down the river. In the battle Heracross was partnered with Kako's Beautifly and proved to be a very strong opponent. Nevertheless, it was defeated by Pikachu's Thunderbolt while trapped by Piplup's Whirlpool. After the battle, it was seen enjoying the watermelons along with the others. Heracross's known attacks are Megahorn, Horn Attack and Hyper Beam. |
Trivia
- Kanta is shown to be wearing a blue Pokétch, however the design (with a blue and red button on either side of the display) is not one present in the games.
