Release information

This card was included in the Battle Styles expansion with artwork by Akira Komayama, first released in the Japanese Rapid Strike Master expansion. In Japan, a S-P Promotional print with different artwork by Lee HyunJung was one of seven cards available in Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 5, which was intended to be distributed at Pokémon Card Gym venues throughout January, February, and March 2021; however, all official events were postponed from January 12, 2021 due to the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.[1] Events officially resumed on March 27, 2021,[2] though were postponed again in the prefectures of Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto from April 29[3] due to the imposition of states of emergency. These were set to end on May 11 but were extended to May 31 when emergencies were also declared in the prefectures of Aichi, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Okayama, and Okinawa. Events in Okinawa were set to resume after June 20 but were put on hold again up to September 12 following numerous extensions to its state of emergency.[4] This print features the Pokémon Card Gym logo. In Japan, the Battle Styles print was reprinted in the Start Deck 100 and the VSTAR Premium Trainer Box. The S-P Promotional print was eventually made available outside Asia in the special Crown Zenith expansion.
