Captain Crook

Captain Crook (Japanese: デボ Debo) is character of the day in the Pokémon anime. He is a pirate that has been known to poach Pokémon. His Japanese voice actor is 中村秀利 Hidetoshi Nakamura.
He appeared in Viva Las Lapras. Ash, Misty and Tracey were about to take the ferry back to Pallet Town until they saw Lapras's friends. This school of Lapras was being plagued by Captain Crook and his crew. Ash and his friends intervened with the pirates' plans. Afterwards, Captain Crook and his crew were arrested, as well as Team Rocket agents Jessie, James and Meowth. He is usually assisted by his First Mate, Scuz.

Name origin
His name seems to have been derived from the legendary villain Captain Hook.
