Description: "This is another River course, like course #4, but it's in a valley. Again, you'll find a lot of Water Pokémon in this level, as well as some land Pokémon."

This is the sixth course in the game, unlocked after taking pictures of 40 different species of Pokémon in the previous 5 courses.

007 Squirtle When Snap enters the course, brown shells can be seen bobbing in the water. Hitting them with an item will knock them forward. If Snap angles it correctly, they will land on the shore and pop out, revealing themselves to be Squirtle. They can be seen near the end of the course as well, with all but one rolling up a large mound. The last will roll up if Snap hits it with a Pester Ball.


118 Goldeen Throwing items into the water will sometimes make Goldeen jump out. Occasionally, the water around it will sparkle when they jump, which is worth extra points.


147 Dratini Throwing items into the water will sometimes cause Dratini to jump out. These spots are less common than those of the other aquatic Pokémon which may jump out. A shot of sparkling water during the jump is worth extra points.


056 Mankey There are three Mankey throughout the stage. The first is seen early on, yelling at Snap from a distance in front of Mt. Dugtrio. When the river first starts getting very rapid, another can be seen on a ledge on the left side of the river, also yelling at Snap. The last one is on top of a large mound, yelling at Snap as well. This one, however, can be knocked down by hitting the Squirtle at the base of the mound and making it roll up the mound; aiming it correctly will roll it right into the Mankey. This puts Mankey in a close spot for good pictures of it yelling at Snap. A Pester Ball will cause the Mankey to fall on a switch, opening up the route to a little pond. A shot of Mankey in the air after being hit with a Pester Ball is also worth extra points.


027 Sandshrew There are three of these, buried deep underground. Snap can see them briefly from a distance before they burrow underground, but the only way to get a decent shot of them is to knock down the Geodude clinging to the rock wall with Pester Balls. They will fall, and the shock of them hitting the ground will drive out Sandshrew.


028 Sandslash Like Sandshrew, Sandslash burrows underground before the ZERO-ONE can come close enough for a good shot. Knock down the two Geodude, and the Graveler above will fall, causing Sandslash to leap out of the ground. Professor Oak can be impressed by a shot of Sandslash getting ready to dig back down.


074 Geodude These are seen clinging to the rock walls early in the stage. Hitting them with a Pester Ball will make them fall, and Snap will have a good shot of them momentarily before they climb back up.


075 Graveler One can be found with the Geodude, and must be knocked down by knocking the two Geodude near it down in rapid succession. However, a much better shot can be obtained later, when three Graveler are seen sleeping. Playing the Poké Flute will wake them up, and they will do a tribal dance for Snap.


129 Magikarp There is one splashing around in the beginning and many others will jump out of the water when Snap throws an item in.


130 Gyarados If Snap knocks the Magikarp splashing around in the beginning out of the water, it will splash on land towards a Mankey, who will send it flying with a big punch. Snap will encounter this Magikarp again later in the stage, flopping around on land. Hitting it with a Pester Ball will make it flop back into the water and up a nearby waterfall, evolving into Gyarados.


120 Staryu During the second rapid section of the river, three of these will float by. Taking a frontal picture of them will cause their gem to flash blue, and they will start to circle the ZERO-ONE.


121 Starmie If Snap makes any of the Staryu start to circle the ZERO-ONE, they will follow it to the end of the rapid section. There, they will leave and dive into a large whirlpool, emerging as Starmie.


149 Dragonite At one point, Snap will see a large whirlpool on the right of the stage. Throwing three Pester Balls in will cause a Dragonite to fly out.


Special Shots

Graveler Dance

Near the end of the course, three Graveler can be found sleeping. Playing the Poké Flute will cause them to wake up and perform a dance for Todd. A picture of this is worth extra points.

Also, when you throw items in the water, Pokémon may jump out. If a Pokémon jumps out with sparkling water around it, it is worth extra points, so make sure you take a picture!

To Unlock the Final Course

This one is a bit different. First, you have to find Professor Oak's Secret Lab. How to? Near the end of the valley, you'll see three Squirtle. Two of the Squirtle will run away, leaving one of them hidden in its shell. When you're in the right position, hit the Squirtle with a Pester Ball, as this will make Squirtle hit the Mankey on the top of the hill. He'll fall on a hill in front of the red switch. Hit it with another Pester Ball as to make it fall on the switch, which will make a gate open.

After the gates open, you're seen talking to Professor Oak. Professor Oak wants you to get all of the Secret Signs in each course (including this one). Once you've done that, you've unlocked the final course, Rainbow Cloud!
